Yep, photog, you heard right. That's why the, er...inconsistencies...struck me. To be honest, I always enjoyed running into Chris, and I've never, ever heard him described by any co-worker as a "turd" or any of the other unflattering things that Rat says he's experienced when twice working with Chris. That's why it stuck in my memory (that and the thread is still on the first page of the Houston board).

Is Chris actually relocating to Minneapolis?

Or, is he still living here, in Houston, and doing the show for the Minneapolis station from a studio somewhere in CC's Houston operations?

They do that a lot you know. Their call-in hosts can fill in for anybody from anywhere.

All Chris has to do is read the Minneapolis newspapers on the Internet and do a show every day. They won't know or care which city his butt is in.

ISDN's have made your actual physical location irrelevant.

Big gain for KTLK.  Chris will be just fine as soon as he adjusts to the cold weather.  Reverse Trivia, anyone?

Just listened to Chris this morning for the first time.  Since I am a very liberal democrat....PAUL WELLSTONE, I have to say I thought this guy was over the top.  Someone called in with an opinion of McCain and Baker just shouted at her and hung up.  Believe me, Minnesotans do not like this behavior! Angry

The weather in MN is great!  I personally would not like to live in a climate where you do not get all four seasons.  Minus 15 is nothing for us.....although Baker may want to make sure he wears a hat on that bald head of his.

[EDIT]!!!!!! Cheesy

I never understood Baker's popularity here in H-Town. I didn't necessarily disagree with the things he said on his show, but I never really thought much of his "radio skills". The longer he was here, the more it seemed he read the Chron's front page and came up with his topic for the next three hours. It turned into lazy, mail-it-in radio. I think he just got too comfortable and started believing the hype. That said, I hope he does well at KTLK.

I've had the pleasure of working with Chris the past few years and thought he was a pretty nice guy. The reason he was fired wes pretty simple: His ratings were horrible. KTRH's ratings have improved with his departure.

But he was a nice guy, at least compared to most on air personalities.

Easy Money,
That was NOT the reason Chris was fired. Your boss told me the reason and it was money,,NOT ratings. Ratings are down since he left. Not sure where you get your info but you are wrong.
I know revs are down since Chris left. Way down.

I have a big picture of the head of CC Houston confiding in you. Since you have such a tight relationship w/ the Big Boss, ask him to share the Arbitron PPM data with you. Be sure to take a look at where Baker ranked on both KPRC and KTRH when he left and compare it to where those dayparts rank now.

You'll see that the ratings have improved, that's a fact. I suggest less emotion, more information..
