I found out from Chris, he has a job at KTLK in Minneapolis, MN.  I was hoping he would find a job here in town, but alas, it was not to be.  I will miss him!  He will be on from 5-9:00am.  Best of luck Chris!!  He starts Monday.  I'll have to listen in and send him a big "YAHOO, Chris" Sad

Interesting that he's decided to stay with Clear Channel. I don't know the story behind him leaving KPRC, but my understanding was that it wasn't an amicable split.

I don't think it was necessarily Clear Channel, I think his 'problem' was the bozo running the Houston cluster****.

I always enjoyed Baker.  I remember the first day he came on the air.  I followed, a bit passively, from station to station as Cheap Channel tried to decide where to put him.  I must admit, though -- even as a big fan -- that he had lost much of his luster.  I was never a fan of Barry, but he seems to have found his stride.  Neither is a superstar, both think they are.  But the show is a bit higher brow now.  I always thought Chris was the dumbest guy in the room.  Barry at least seems to be smart.  I think he tries harder than Baker did, because Baker had become lazy.

For what it's worth, I wish Chris the best, and I think the move will be good for him.  And I'm willing to give Barry a chance for a while to see how he develops.

Thanks for the update, I wondered what happened to Chris.

I dealt with Chris Baker twice.   Let me tell you: turd.  Bad attitude, prima donna, no count.  I didn't like him at all.  Not a nice guy.  Glad he's gone.  He was a bad apple.   I spoke to a friend who used to do lives with him.  Trust me, bad guy.

Just tuned into KTLK live streaming...I could have sworn they said it was going to be -15 degrees there tomorrow.

Sure sad to see Chris leave Houston. I think CC Houston let him go to make $$$ available for Walton & Johnson's paychex.

Hey Aunti, thanks for reading my posts with such a critical eye.  My opinion is rather consistent there, other than that I don't like to leave things on bad terms.  I wish the guy well.  But I never heard anything good from him from anyone inside his company who ever worked with him.

Well, I'm no "insider" or a pro like most of you, but, through my work I got pretty close to many employees at KPRC and KTRH.  I knew promotion people and on air personalities.  The people I knew liked and enjoyed working with Chris.
