I don't understand how we failed to post this:
today is a MAJOR birthday, and not one word?

Rupert Holmes is 62 today, Tuesday February 24.

Maybe Willard Scott mentioned it.  Could be...

I nominate Chris Romer for best post so far this year by breaking this very important, potentially life changing, news. As busy
as you are to take the time to update us in testimony to your love of radio.

Is ole (different spelling than old bud) Rupert still performing? We need a Mix929Rupfest. It would be right up there with AC/DC
for best of show 2009!

Happy Birthday to "HIM."

It's George Harrison's (would have been) 66th birthday today, and you people are more concerned about ol' Rupert?  What IS this world coming to, anyway?

(Y'all did know that at some point, George's birthday got "moved" from February 25th to the 24th, didn't you?  Grin)

Maybe Sarge can use Rupert's birthday and/or song in one of his "Guess The Year" on-air contests.

SCRG's switchboard cannot handle that kind of caller frenzy. Lionel Richie doesn't have the
magnetic draw that Rupert has, so that's as cutting edge of a what year/birthday question
as Sarge can probably use.
