Met Calamity Annie, who was a jock on KYLO in the 80's before they went Progressive Religious (??, isn't that like jumbo shrimp?). I'd like to hear more about that station, if anyone knows anything.

Back around 1986 or 1987, KYLO was a religious station on 105.5FM  The studio was in Davis on the edge of the UCD campus.   Later, it was a progressive rock station with studios in West Davis.

Today, KYLO is a LPFM on 93.3 in Woodland.  A Catholic church owns it.

Sue Ryan, a KHYL jockette for many years, was at the original
KYLO in the late-1980s when Alan McCarthy engineered the
station. Had a nickel-tour of the facility...it was "different"...

KYLO 105.5 was Country in the early-1980s at one time, no?

The present-day KYLO 93.3 is engineered by Mike Martindale,
last I heard...

A few years back, I spoke to the operators of KYLO.  They said an engineer from Napa built the station.  Would that be Mike Martindale?  I've never heard of him before...Just curious....

Yes, C.O., that would be Mike Martindale...

Mike engineered KVON/KVYN for many years (1988-2004);
I worked with Mike for nine of those years. He has engineered
La Raza 93.3 in "The City" since...

P.S. - Alan McCarthy, who briefly replaced Alan Graft as C.E.
in that era of KYLO, "Rock 105.5" (with the Citizens Chevrolet/
Woodland logo on the stickers), passed away in August 1996.
But whatever became of Sue Ryan? Haven't heard about her
for a few years...

Last I saw of her, which was last year, she was doing news for KTKZ at Salem. I heard she's not there any more.
