Congratulations on the PIXY gig Travis!  That's great news.

thanks man (I'm just guessing you're a man, I have no idea)...just some pt work for the summer, maybe longer...it's about an hour/hour and a half long ride from my house to pixy, but it's worth it

It's going to cost you more in gas than what you'll make, but it is a great resume builder.

I don't know what shift you are doing, but let me give you the benefit of 50 years of driving down route 3 on the weekends... ok 34 years of driving, 16 years of being a passenger.

Saturdays... weekly rentals flip on Saturday morning, out by 10, check in at noon. That means Route 3 is a mess by 10 headed south. If you need to go south, be well past Braintree by 9:30.

Sunday is iffy depending on the weather...on a  crappy day people bail from the cape by noon, nice day they bail around 4. Northbound Rt 3 is bumper to bumper till exit 15. Heading down to the cape on a sunday morning is the same as a Saturday... if you are not on Rt 3 by 9:30 be prepared to sit, especially from the Norwell lane drop south.

When you go by Exit 12 wave at the WATD studios.

Find a friend with a pilots license and have them fly you into Barnstable airport.

Congrats on the Pixy gig Travis!

Years ago, when I was working for 'ZLX, I interviewed down there when Taft Moore was the PD.

Taft, decided that I needed to pass a verbal quiz before he'd consider hiring me. It went exactly like this:

Taft: "So...WZLX huh? Boston's Classic Rocker! (pause) Name me three bands Eric Clapton was in besides Cream!"

Me: "Um...Delaney & Bonnie, Blind Faith...and...um...The Roosters!"

I didn't get the gig.

Moral of the story: During an interview...Never be the smartest guy in the room!
