I have worked for KNJO and Salem Communication and have worked with Mark Pollack (no-I am not an engineer). I have been in radio for over 40 years and my family has owned 8 radio stations.
FOR THE RECORD:
I have NEVER encountered anything that Steve has posted. Mark is an OUTSTANDING person and engineer. It is sad to see that Steve doesn't have anything better to do than blog negative things about others.
I agree with Mr.Andrews

ENOUGH ALREADY!!

What is really sad: is the fact Mark would treat a young person that way, the fact you would not have a problem with it; speaks volumes about you Kim. Not to mention you signed up just to make this post.

Then why did you post?

Did it ever dawn on you Mark treats his colleagues differently, than young people interested in radio, or at 23 Mark was just a mean person?

Dick Haskey was allot nicer to Mark and willing to mentor to him; Mark was rather green when he came to KGOE, Dick would always take the time to show him how to bring the array back in line,to bad Mark would not give back what was given to him; like Larry King, Dick Haskey and Brad Sobel were so egger to do. You have no ideal how many young people egger to learn about broadcasting Mark pushed and shoved away, thank God they had other good hearted engineers like Larry & Dick to turn to for inspiration and show them the way.

Keep in mind Kim; Mark has to be a different person around those who might employee him, as opposed to someone he has nothing to gain financially from. I know I have dealt with plenty of talent with that trait, the guys with real talent tend to be down to earth, while the ones with questionable talent tend have the ego, and think their stuff does not stink. Dick Haskey & Larry King knew their business, both were outstanding engineers and great teachers.

Larry King & I were there, not you Kim!
