Bonneville wants that station soooo bad!

I could potentially see Bonneville picking up WLW and WKFS.  Once 97.3 goes to 25,000 watts move KISS FM to 97.3 and then spin off 107.1 to a private owner like Davidson to go espanol!

That would potentially give Bonneville

WUBE - Country
WLW - News/Talk
WKFS - Rhythmic CHR
WSWD - Alternative
WKRQ - Adult Top 40

I'd rather see the Reds buy WLW & Kiss or Clear Channel spin off Fox & Radio 94.1 so WLW stays on Sirius XM.

Is the XM contract a contract with ClearChannel stations, or individual stations?

If individual, I would guess WLWs XM deal wouldnt be affected.

I wonder what WLWs "ratings" are on XM.

1. It's with Clear Channel. They lease a piece of the spectrum, and WLW does the simulcast for free along with any other CC owned programs. Any programs that leave Clear Channel have to be removed from their XM space.

2. Fall 07

The stations to be spun off are 94.1 & 92.5. Here's the Enquirer article

Clear Channel FM stations offered up for sale or swap

Two local FM radio stations - WNNF (94.1) and WOFX (92.5) - are on the block following the sale this week of hundreds of stations owned by Clear Channel Communications to a private equity partnership for $23.8 billion.

I would assume the Bengals FM home will move, probably to WEBN.

I would say it would depend on how fast it takes CC to sell the station. If the sell happens prior to the start of the season then the Bengals would probably move to 102.7. I wonder if Bob & Tom will move over to WEBN as well?

I wouldn't be surprised if 102.7 picks up B&T. Although with their more harder-edged sound, it may not fit their profile. I would love to see EBN kind of be like DVE in Pittsburgh. Home of the Bengals, with the morning show being live from Training camp, etc. It'd be cool... for you all anyway.
