KRMG ELECTION COVERAGE
« on: August 27, 2008, 11:32:50 AM »

KRMG proves again why it's number one. Have you checked out their election coverage at the Demo Natl Convention? They started broadcasting from there on Monday with Joe Kelly and Rick Couri from 5 to 9 am, and then again from 6 to 7 pm.  They'll be at the Republican Convention next week. Absolute pros.  This is how it's done.

Here's a link for an interview with Pat Buchannan ...

But go to the krmg.com website to look at their blog for interviews and behind the scenes video. Excellent usage of connecting the website with the on-air product.

I hate to agree...  but I've got to agree.  Their coverage this week has been the most impressive local coverage of a presidential election that I have ever heard or seen.  This is truly award-winning stuff.

Now, if they'd just put this kind of effort into local, day-to-day news coverage, and weather coverage...

(In fairness, the new guy from BAP may do exactly that...  we're watching you!  Please make Tulsa, and KRMG, proud!  And please dump AP Radio News!  Ugh..)

Yeah, I'm with you guys.  KRMG is a top notch outfit inside and out.  I hope they keep that dude rockin' for another century.

KRMG will be back on the air with coverage of the Republican National Convention Monday morning. I expect it to be even better than their DNC coverage. And how about that Sarah Palin!!! A lot will be happening and it will be exciting radio.

Since McCain has basically shut down the convention for now, I wonder how that coverage is going to sound?

Are they going to send everybody to Louisiana?

Just curious...

SIDENOTE:  I heard this afternoon Chris Medlock live from the RNC...

...on a CELL PHONE...

 Grin

(Not QUITE as compelling as KRMG's coverage, but better than nothing, I guess...)

Keep your eyes and ears on Chris Medlock.  That guy is a natural.  I promise you he's going to leave a brand of excellence on Tulsa broadcasting.  I will not be surprised if Chris winds up at the network level in radio or television.
