Cool username:
While I am all for your effort, I want Retro TV in Cleveland/Northeast Ohio before It goes to Cincinnati.  Besides, online petitions don't work..never have..But good luck to you..If a Cincy station thinks it makes sense for them, they'll put it on..

I'll sign yours if you sign mine Smiley

I am trying to get the paper to do an article on it once I get the signature count up Smiley I figure the interest in it will grow once it hits the press

Thanks for the interest!  Grin

Here in Las vegas, I don't think we have Retro TV on one of the DTV channels there, but we should someday.

May I suggest you go to

www.city-data.com

and post your request over there as well. This is a site about cities, to dicuss them and it is like an online forum. For instance people talk about cities they are moving to and how to make their city better

If you go to the Cincinnati section and post your request, you will get some feedback which may be helpful to you.

I applaud you for your effort but as has been stated before on line petitions do not work.  One reason and the main one is there is no way to verify the signatures.  At least with a printed petition you can tell who signed it.  Also computer programs can be set up to generate on line petitions and signatures.  The people in power know this and do not give petitions of any kind much thought but they really don't take on line petitions seriously.  Retro TV will only be added if the station thinks they can make money by airing it. the webpage www.snopes.com the urban legends webpage has a great article on why on line petitions don't work.  Go to the inboxer rebelion section and look for the section marked petitions.

I'd suggest calling or writing  your local TV station and asking them if they would consider carrying Retro TV on on one of their sub channels.  You're more likely to get a response by getting people to put pen to paper and actually write letters or make phone calls to let them know you're interested.  As nice as email is I'd still recommend the old fashioned pen and paper in this case.  It's harder to ignore a letter than it is to ignore an email.
