If I ran the Portland and Portsmouth-Dover-Rochester radio markets.
« on: September 22, 2008, 02:52:07 PM »

I got this idea from the thread in the Boston market and I thought it would be neat to do.

So here's Portsmouth-Dover-Rochester:

92.1 WPHX would be restored to WCDQ- Mount Rialto Radio playing Adult Album Alternative.

95.3 WSKX would break away from Kiss 108 and become Kiss 95.3, but simulcast Matty in the Morning.

96.7 WQSO would become The Shark using the WSHK calls. The Shark would still play Classic Rock. The Shark also wouldn't have a simulcast it would just be on 96.7. 967 The Shark

97.5 WOKQ would stay the same. I would add a slogan though: Q 975- "Country for the Seacoast"

98.7 WBYY would stay the same.

100.3 WHEB would switch to a WFNX simulcast and just use the WPHX-FM calls. This would also give FNX a better signal into Portland.

102.1 WSAK would go from 3,000 watts to 10,000 watts. This would hopefully make 102.1 strong enough to come in well enough in Rochester since 102.1 would become WQSO and play oldies. The Wave 102.

105.3 WSHK would become the new home of WHEB. Since 105.3 comes in in Portsmouth it could still serve its market. 105.3 WHEB

106.5 WNHI would become a WRED simulcast since 95.9 doesn't come in too well in Portsmouth.

107.1 WERZ would stay the same except for the slogan. The new slogan would be 107 ERZ- #1 for the 80s, 90s and Today.

Okay now here's Portland

93.1 would remain the same.

94.3 would remain the same.

95.9 WRED would stay Red Hot 959 but now it would have a simulcast, changing the slogan to Red Hot 95 and 106.

96.3 would go back to WLOB-FM

97.9 WJBQ would remain the same.

98.9 would remain the same.

99.3 would remain Classical.

99.9 WTHT would change to an Adult Contemporary station. The slogan would be Magic 99.

100.9 would remain the same.

101.9 would remain the same.

102.9 would remain the same.

103.7 would drop the WOKQ simulcast and become 1037 Frank FM.

104.7 WHXQ would stay The Bone

106.3 would remain Classical.

107.5 would go back to The Wolf.

I think you need to go back on your meds.
