KRKA-FM Erath - Baton Rouge LA, not unusual for a strong tropo. I've been able to catch WRNO-FM-HD

For a few hours xo was no where to be heard all i could hear was HOT 107.9 out of La and also some 108 country format not sure where it was comming from.

Likely "KIXS 108" out of Victoria.

Could it also have been Kicker 108, WZKX 107.9 Bay St Louis-Gulfport-BIloxi, MS...theyve got 100KW/1516 feet

nah, it's KIXS 108. KQQK has always had trouble against KIXS in the past.

I was in Louisiana, just north of Lafayette and KHTC was sailing in loud and clear.  I normally get bits and pieces of KJMH Lake Arthur/Lake Charles. KHPT was also nicely received.  I had RDS on both in the car too.
