"Statistically irrelevant, and loving it."

Thanks man!  I'm trying hard to inject some new life into this format with vocals it has rarely if ever seen.  Some really like it, others, well...you know...it's a work in progress Wink  I expected that.  But I think some of the New Wave stuff definitely works, particularly deeper cuts.  Thomas Dolby has some terrific stuff that I worked seamlessly into the program, as well as The Pet Shop Boys.  I have been pleasantly surprised with how well the early 80s New Wave stuff has worked.  The AAA stuff is working out nicely as well.  I have been closely monitoring my stats and guys are still listening after these cuts roll out, which is a good sign.  In time, I will be weeding out the laidback 70s cuts, but I am going to try to keep some of the AOR in there.  The next challenge is getting guys to buy into some of the current Pop/Rock vocals.  Tougher sell, for sure.  But if I can go deep and find those cuts with more of that AAA vibe and less Pop-sounding, I think I can pull it off.  Thanks again for the feedback, and thanks for listening!!!  The new website I have been working on looks great and should be up in a week or so.

Peace,

Chris

I have been listening on my cell phone while I'm out sometimes and the music mix is pretty good Chris. A lot better selection than some of the other stations that are out there. Looking foward to the new site. : )

So glad you have been taking advantage of the AudioNow feature, Jazz_Kat. Smiley  It really is a nice option for those who cannot afford a mobile data plan, have spotty service in there area, or no Internet at home.  As a reminder for the rest of the board, you can pull in the station with your mobile or landline phone by simply dialing 443-261-3113.  The sound quality is better than you might think.  Have a great weekend, gang!  Hope to have the new website up very soon.

Hey gang.  I regret to say the website update is taking longer than I would have liked.  It has been a crazy couple of weeks, and I just haven't had the time to put on the finishing touches.  I hope I can do that over the weekend, but I am sure something will come up...it ALWAYS does. Cheesy  I also have been experiencing a number issues with the stream provider for my iTunes (64K AAC+) stream of late (multiple dropouts), and I am looking at another provider.  In the meantime, I may go back to 128K mp3 only, because that provider's uptime has been exceptional.  Remember, for those who pull me in on iTunes, there are always other options on the LoudCity tune in page.  You can always get the 128K stream there with the WinAmp player.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Not a problem for me AC.  Cool Doesn't seem like there's never enough hours in a day, always something happening. I'm sure you will get it done soon and it will look good.  Smiley

Hey guys.  Be advised that neither iTunes or AudioNow has yet to update my new stream server details.  I saw several 1-minute calls to the AudioNow number yesterday, and I suspect you got some dead air after the intro.  I like to think you can tolerate the stream for more than a minute. Cheesy  In any event, AudioNow has been notified of this and hopefully they will implement the change shortly.  iTunes, on the other hand, has a tendency to drag their feet with these changes.  TuneIn Radio fortunately has gotten the memo and already implemented the change.  As you all know, I have had a ton of problems with the AAC+ server lately (buffering issues and dropouts), and I figured enough was enough.  So I am going back to 128kbps mp3 and with a provider who has been reliable since Day 1.  I have to tell you, audiowise, it sounds better than any stream I have ever had running.  For those with smartphones, here is the new streaming URL:

Yeah, we are definitely good to go with AudioNow.  The stream is running a little hot right now...pretty typical with 128kbps mp3 streams.  The bass can be a bit overpowering at times.  I'll be playing around with the settings to find the sweet spot.  At least no more dropouts or buffering issues. Smiley  Don't think iTunes has yet to make the change Angry, but I have updated the Loudcity tune in page with the new streaming links.  Need to update it to make it compatible with browsers other than IE.  The good news is, I am ALMOST done with the overhaul of the website.  It will be basic, but clean with a modern look.

Sorry to spam, guys.  But the link I provided above is for my Icecast mount point.  Technically, you can get to the new stream from there, but it requires another mouse click, and the interface is awful.  You are better off going with the TuneIn Radio app, or opening the .pls file with your default media player.  Here is the new .pls file.  FYI, the iTunes server is STILL active while I am waiting for the iTunes Radio folks to update my listing:
