Whatever Gets You Through The Night

Charles Van Zandt's last day at WLW
« on: August 08, 2005, 06:01:11 PM »

..occurred Friday night. He's been the overnight anchor at the Big One for 10 years, maybe more. He'll be going to CC sister station WKRC-12 for behind the scenes work..and better hours.

I'll miss him.  He was my companion on those late nights I spent doing homework.

Worked with him.  All the good stories are true.  All the funny stories are true.  Any bad stories are a crock.  To paraphrase Hank Williams Junior,       Anybody here don't like Charles Van Sant, you can kiss my a**!

Worked with Charlie in Columbus Indiana in the 70's.  What a Class Act! He didn't start work at The Big One until after I left in teh early 80's.  What a super person!

Charlie is the greatest.  Always prompt and professional.  He will be greatly missed.
