WROD Daytona Beach - Ron Risch

I have always been a big fan of WROD and was wondering what ever happened to the evening DJ Ron Risch?  I haven't heard him in years.

Isn't WROD Music of Your Life? I thought MOYL was totally satellite delivered now? Or does WROD have certain dayparts local/live?

Back in July, WROD was no longer Music of Your Life, to the best of my knowledge.  Mostly satellite from what I heard.  I believe it was the old Westwood One AM Only or the same format under a new entity and moniker.  It was the same programming once heard over WSBB 1230, I think.  Back in the day and I'm going back about a dozen years or so, WROD was mostly live and local and the evening guy was Ron Risch.  He sounded like a seasoned veteran.  Very good.  Just wondered if he was still at the mic or retired.

Keep in mind, if you are tired of corporate radio. You have the choice of listening to thousands of small market operators.

We had a Ron Risch working at the station group I was at back in 2000. A super nice guy, and a class act. Ron passed away sometime around 2004. Our station was adult standards.

It was run up the chain to the regional programmer, and then approved by the hired consultant. Did I miss someone that wasn't on the memo"

Sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Risch.  He was a "must listen to" on 'ROD as we made our way back to our rented condo from a great dinner at Inlet Harbor.  He was old school, but he was cool.  R.I.P.
