WMAH-FM reportedly needs diesel fuel at McHenry
« on: September 03, 2005, 11:35:04 PM »

From the Sun Herald website...

WMAH running out of fuel

Station's generators could run out this weekend

Mississippi Public Broadcasting desperately needs diesel fuel to keep its generator running and stay on the air.

The station - WMAH 90.3 FM - has been keeping hurricane victims posted on important news and survival information. Its station in McHenry, which broadcasts from the hurricane-ravaged Coast to the torn-up pine belt of Hattiesburg, may run out of fuel this weekend.

It needs 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel. Broadcasting centers in Jackson and Meridian are also low on fuel.

If you can help, call (800) 922-9698.
