Whatever happened to the saying "Treat people how you would want to be treated"? So a station treats a listener that is or was a real fan of them by ignoring their calls and refusing to acknowledge that a packaged envelope for one of their tshirts because of some stupid policy they've concocted of not sending stuff in the mail? Even when the listener pays for it? How this makes sense to you people I will never know.
What you're saying is that it's ok to work in a station and be the owner of it but not be listener friendly. I think I'd go out of business real fast then.
No what I am saying is this, leave people alone and quit bothering them for free crap when you don't listen to the station. Quit whining. I thought your post on that thread of mine was really nasty and uncalled for. How does that make me a nutcase? Even more ridiculous a liar. I am one of the most honest people out there. They lied to me and everyone else I've talked to in person agreed this wasn't right what that station did. I so wish you and a lot of other people had a clothes fetish so you'd understand. I now don't like radio very much as I used to because of situations like this and am glad I am choosing something else that is easier to get into and better pay to get into for my career.
I don't know why you had to be so hostile but I didn't appreciate it. Why did you message me with this crap? What is a clothes fetish and how do you get one? Go get a better job and leave the adults alone. That's really helpful advice - really helpful. Not.

I'm not putting information as sensitive as that on a public board and certainly won't do anything until I hear some sort of apology. I bet you don't even have any WABB tshirts.

"So a station treats a listener that is or was a real fan of them by ignoring their calls and refusing to acknowledge that a packaged envelope for one of their tshirts because of some stupid policy they've concocted of not sending stuff in the mail?"
YOU LIVE IN WICONSIN!! YOU ARE NOT A LISTENER! You are not a priority to them, nor to any other station outside your area that you expect to get stuff from just because you sent an envelope! Money is very tight for every station out there. Tshirts, etc. cost them money. Any radio station is going to make sure that those freebies are going to PEOPLE WHO CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THE STATION FIRST!
When a station doesn't mail out prizes, it's because of a couple reasons.
1) Again, money is tight. Mailing out prizes run up a pretty big postage bill in a hurry.
2) If a prize gets mailed, there is no way to 100% be sure it arrives. It's too easy for things to "disappear", or have someone call saying "it never arrived, send me another".
It's some made up on the fly policy. It's more of an industry norm and has been for quite awhile.
"I listen to this station. You must have never heard of on the phone listening or streaming audio. I messaged you because you were nasty and needed to be informed. And you still are. This isn't for free crap either. I have paid lots for rare radio stuff on sites like ebay."
This is where I say you are full of elephant bung. WABB DOES NOT STREAM! You cannot hear a station on the computer that DOES NOT STREAM! I have heard of "listen lines", but I seriously doubt you have the number. If you do, you will post it here. I say this because I believe WABB disconnected theirs a couple years ago. And, yes. This IS for free crap. All you're doing is paying for postage. Why not offer to cut a check for $15 for a Tshirt?
Hey, Nate!
They are pretty batty in "Badgerland". If your system was clogged up by brats, beer, and cheese, and being closed up inside 4 months a year because of winter....you'd be too!

That's what PM is for. WABB is FAR from the only station that doesn't mail stuff. The station I work at doesn't mail prizes either due to the budget, and we even target another market an hour away. Nate: People in Gopherland (where I'm at) are even more batty, trust me. Although, one thing I get sick of when traveling is when you tell people you're from Minnesota or North Dakota (I grew up there) they make a reference to the movie Fargo, every time. But I guess it's all people know of us. ha

This is what I don't get. I don't get why people even post on discussion boards anymore. All they are are boards filled with nasty posters.

so, what's the number to listen to WABB on the phone? Oh, that right! YOU DON'T KNOW IT!!
Cry, whine, moan. Play an innocent vitcim. You came on here trying to trash a station, and you got called out! If you're going to try and light a fire, you better be able to stand the heat.
There is no pitty for you. Sorry.
