Classic Color Password
« on: April 30, 2009, 10:48:05 PM »

Has anyone noticed how awful the editing is for the 1966 Password show now airing at 3:30AM on GSN?  Videotape editing must not have been a high priority on this show when it flipped to color in 1966. There are obvious gaps that show obvious jumping from where they are talking.  Also the audio lately has been low later in the last part of the half hour when they come back from break and almost inaudible unless you turn up the volume all the way up.  Then a few minutes later the volume comes back.  I don't know if the audio issue is from the original taping or if it is GSN's problem.  But the show with big stars like Jerry Lewis is fascinating.

Some of the Color CBS Password episodes were put in a syndicated package in 1967-68..a big reason for some of the edits/cuts you see..Not sire about the audio levels though
