splicer38 is right...although don't compare shapiro programming to the upper valley. very sloppy. in fact just pathetic. it's funny how you can tell know one cares, or wants to be there, just by listening.
thanks for the paycheck jeffy.
smooches,
Mary ;-)
The only station of his I listen to is WXXK and I think they could do a much better job. On-air sound is very loose and compared to the Upper Valley's Wolf the on-air staff quite poor.

In case it was not reported... Detone and Walton both ended up at the River.

Well, the clients love it, and that's all that matters. That may be true but I bet many of those same clients are spending money with Nassau as well. I understand this market is more on relationships than quality programming and ratings (I bet there has not been a book for the Upper Valley in at least a year.) The shame of it is that when I was learning the craft of broadcasting, it was the quality of your programming which brought in the advertising dollars. Maybe if some operators would remember that they would make more with their stations.

Sounds as though WNHW has moved to Gilford, with WJYY next.

That's what a Nassau employee told me today. Sounds as though WNHW has moved to Gilford, with WJYY next.

forget about cutting airstaff, seems like they cut out a whole station. No sign of 1230-WTSV Claremont, N.H. "ESPN Radio, The Score" in over a month.

I was wondering about that myself. I like to tune in to them on Sundays on the way to pick up my daughter and could not.

I was wondering about that myself. I like to tune in to them on Sundays on the way to pick up my daughter and could not. From the FCC website: https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/cdbsmenu.hts?context=25&appn=101321244&formid=910&fac_num=17795ON JUNE 25, 2009 THE TRANSMITTER FOR WSTV SUSTAINED A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE WITHIN THE POWER SUPPLY SECTION. THIS TRANSMITTER IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED BY THE MANUFACTURER, AND NASSAU HAS EXHAUSTED ITS OWN SUPPLY OF SPARE PARTS. NASSAU HAS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL IN OBTAINING PARTS FROM THIRD PARTY SOURCES OR IDENTIFYING NEW SOURCES THROUGH INTERNET SEARCHES. THEREFORE, NASSAU RESPECTFULLY REQUESTS RELIEF FROM THE MINIMUM OPERATING SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS IN SECTION 73.1740 OF THE COMMISSION'S RULES AND AUTHORITY FOR THE STATION TO REMAIN DARK FOR A PERIOD OF 180 DAYS UNTIL NEW EQUIPMENT CAN BE IDENTIFIED AND OBTAINED.
