« on: August 10, 2011, 07:10:04 PM »

$11 million (five per cent down, the remainder in stock) brings 26 stations http://www.radio-info.com/news/price-for-townsquares-purchase-of-26-stations-from-double-o-11m, including 11 stations in New York state that fall in unrated communities between Syracuse, Albany and Binghamton.  However, WIYN-FM Deposit NY, is part of the Binghamton market and WKXZ-FM Norwich has a signal overlap with a Townsquare's WFRG-FM Utica-Rome.  The remainder of the deal includes four stations in Hannibal MO-Quincy IL, three in Sedalia-Knob Noster MO, five in San Angelo TX, three in Odessa-Midland TX.  Townsquare will issue about 193K shares of stock to the seller valued at $4.87 each, adding about $940K to the deal’s total value.  Double O's buyout will increase Townsquare's radio holdings to 191 stations in 40 markets.
