As of this morning (6/10) there are three pages of comments associated with this story on WBIR.  Not one positive comment about the station?  I wonder does anyone have a positive comment about this station?

Kind of a dumb story and report seeing that the current station has nothing in common with the older one other than the name.  WOKI was a AAA station.  The new format at WJRV is Hot AC.  Two completely different formats and target groups. I am glad we finally got a Hot AC in Knoxville again though.  I just hate that it's a satellite fed station.  Wonder if this owner plans on holding on to the station and trying to compete, or if he's looking to sell out to one of the 3 big companies and make a buck.  The station actually has a pretty good signal (especially where it counts on the west side of town).

Sorry for the multiple posts.  I'm posting from my iphone and this site still doesn't work well on it since they upgraded it a few months back.

Isn't this station almost exactly what The Point was trying to do before they went to 80s?

Kick WDVX off the 105.9 translator... Shut it down and you'd have a winner!  They don't need 70 translators.  Then, you could hear 106.1 downtown.  Now, programming-wise, they need to kick the satellite fed mess.

if you miss 100.3 the river,  then don't bother with 106.1.  try 105.3 WFIV, great job with the AAA format

I've been expecting The River to show up SOMEWHERE in the ratings over the last few trends.  Now the Spring book is out and there is no sign of WJRV at all!  The format has been in place for all three months of the book.  Is anyone listening to this station at all?
