A little ironic - all the more so in view of CBC's participation in the Canadian version of Current. When Current TV was created it bumped the US incarnation of CBC Newsworld from American cable systems. For whatever reason, the border is a one-way street as far as cable TV is concerned. Canadians have access to a plethora of American programming but most of us in the States get next to nothing from Canada. No wonder insular attitudes are so common in the States. Reminds me of the headline which supposedly appeared in a London newspaper a century ago: "Fog in Channel - Continent Cut Off".
