Oh, yes, Channel 12, showing videos of past damage, and we can look forward to some other local ninnies standing in puddles ("Its just like the beach!") and wearing slickers and doing endless, breathless, completely stupid stories.

Local news in Phoenix, where intellect went to die.

Is it raining where you are?

Hey, don't knock it until you've tried it!!  Wink

I still remember that glorious August evening (sunsational, as Jimmy Q. would say) when I first saw Tram Mai--donning rubbers and a rain slicker--standing in the raging Monsoonal flood waters on a lonely street in Phoenix, saving the hapless souls who dared to defy the Monsoon! She stood valiant, brave and true as she reported on every inch of raging water. Such bravery!!!  Grin

That act of bravery thrust Tram into the morning anchor chair for that "perfect morning blend."

I thank God every day for those brave men and women who are not cowards in the face of Mother Nature's fury and wrath!! They dare to stand in the way of deadly hurricanes Monsoon storms, risking life and limb their perfectly coiffed haridos in order to bring us the news!!

How dare you mock their bravery, sir. I demand an apology--now!!!  Grin

No monsoon yet, but it could strike at any moment, and the brave men and women of the media will stop at nothing to bring you the breaking weather news!!!

I can't wait for another fascinating 1 hour interview with Monte from KyCo roofing on KTAR, and guess what?  He is a sponsor.

"Monte is like crazy about quality. Did you know he can like kill bugs as well? Yeah, fer sure. So totally radical. We should do a story on that during a monsoon storm!!"

Or we could have Kim Covington running across the screen, screaming "Denzel!  Denzel!  Denzel!"  when Denzel Washington was in town. Cheesy

Maybe we can convince Her Highness the Gubinator to sign a Stupid Newscaster Law similar to the Stupid Motorist Law.

Nah, she's too busy arguing with her fellow Republican lawmakers!  Could you imagine if this same scenario had played out with Janet N.  around?!?

Its even funnier in HD!

Patty's makeup session is longer than the ones for the actors in "Planet of the Apes"

Oh, where is Cater Lee and her famous report "Are you having a bad hair day?"

I'd assume that Lin Sue's makeup session is pretty long, too!

Maybe the 'veteran' newscasters need to use that new 'digital' makeup kit from Paper Bag Cosmetics.
