Seriously.  Is this a joke?

Houston is over hip-hopped & over-espanoled.

I'm hoping that Col. gets the All Hawiian, Polka, Bowiling Alley, etc.. music format going soon.  The unheard masses are aching for their music genre to be launched in Houston.... and Col. St. James is the man.  How about the "Kev & Col in the Morning" show? Don't it just give ya goose bumps?   Cheesy

Urban AC or Urban Oldies maybe, but we don't need anymore Hip-Hop in the market.  It's as oversaturated as Classic Rock is.

EXACTLY!!!!

People who don't listen to hip-hop that much can say that we don't need another station because they do not realize how much hip-hop artist and r&b artists are coming out of houston, which is about the same, or even more, as those that come out of Atlanta. And for this city that only has one urban station, it just doesn't look right to me.

KRBE AND HOT 95.7 DONT break local houston music!
the dj's in the mixshow will if they can! and much love to them but there is lil mixshow on krbe and HOT

and with lil to NO MIXSHOW u get NO BREAKING ARTISTS AND that leads to NO HIPHOP!

yes Houston music scene is like no other! in all the top 10 markets its known that Houston is up there in making stars! local Houston artists like UGK,Ghetto Boys,Paul Wall,Chamillionaire,Trae,Mike Jones, Slim Thug, and so many more! HIPHOP helps the growth of the city! and generates corporate dollars!

with no competition in the market the BOXX does not have to break artists and thats sad!
(they still break music but don't have to)

hiphop is in its big hair stage like rock once was!
and top40/dance music is big right now but things come in cycles
dance music got big back in the day (early 90's around the time of C+C Music factory) then it slowed down in the mainstream!
so just cus top40/dance is big dont mean hiphop is dying understand that
as long as there is urban youth hip hop will always be there!
hiphop relates to people in the struggle!
even before the rescission there was more people with out money then with!

look at the markets and think about what hiphop artists come from where!

New York
Los Angeles
Chicago
San Francisco
Dallas-Fort Worth
Houston-Galveston
Atlanta
Philadelphia
Washington/Baltimore
Boston

NOW WHOS GONNA BE SMART AND BRING THE 2nD URBAN/RHY STATION!!
