BRAND NEW TO CHARLOTTE
« on: October 31, 2009, 04:37:38 PM »

Hey everybody, I'm Rick Knight and I've been in the business for 27 years. I have been working in the Macon GA market for the last 22 of those.

For 16 years, I was afternoon-drive on WDEN,the top-rated country station. The station was bought out by Cumulus and I was a corporate casualty.

I have also worked sales for Clear Channel and State Broadcasting here.

My wife has just landed a great job with Wachovia in Charlotte and we couldn't pass it up.

I was wondering if any of you knew of ANYTHING in the business that might be available up here. I'm talking producer, board-op or anything. As far as my announcing, I'm more of a John-Boy type and don't have you traditional sound or delivery. I was very successful in Macon as a true on-air personality.

I look forward to hearing back from someone here. This really seems like a great city.

Rick,

Thanks Kent. Charlotte really seems like a great city! I know that radio in GA is really hurting right now. I really hope I can land anything up here because I love the business so much. I'll set up remotes, sell or anything. Thanks again for the welcome sir!
