Patriot Media-Princeton and CCSN-Philly
« on: October 05, 2005, 02:02:35 PM »

Patriot Media Princeton is the only cable company in all 3 Phillies, Sixers, Flyers claimed sports territory, that doesn't carry Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.  Despite being in Philly market, it's in NY sports market also, so the bigger appeal is the Yankees and Mets.  Patriot chose YES instead for Yankees, MSG is carried, and decided NO to CCSN, because of costs.

With the NY Mets and Comcast starting a new channel, will Patriot Media ever  carry CCSN Philly one-day, if SportsNet NY is to be carried?

Princeton is somewhat locked in between the markets.   DirecTV and Dish don't offer the NY RSNs(in entirety with baseball), nor the Philly RSN there, and Princeton can't get the Phila. teams either, because Patriot Media doesn't carry CSN.   And local blackouts still apply.   Not a great place to get the RSNs.
