Hello WLNE...Anybody Home?
« on: October 07, 2005, 08:43:38 PM »

Friday October 7th, on a relatively slow news day, an independent counsel from Boston tells the Rhode Island Board of Elections that the Governor and the state Republican party violated campaign finance laws in 2002.  The independet counsel recommends that the AG move forward in Superior Court.

Who is there coverering this significant story?  The ProJo, Pawtucket Times, Metro Networks, AP, WPRO,WHJJ, Ch. 10 & Ch. 12.

Who is NOT there? Ch. 6.

In the famous words of former NBC anchor Linda Ellerbee..."And so it goes."

Sleepless in Seattle... And...still clueless on Orms Street.

What else is new?  Channel 6 drops the ball on big stories quite often.  So, this should not shock you or anyone else.  If there was a 10-car pileup on Orms Street outside their studios, they would probably miss it.
