Thanks for investigating the interference issue.  I must admit that I've been listening regularly since it came on air.  The playlist has changed a bit over the last few weeks, and is growing on me.

I stopped by the KINB studio on Monday afternoon, as I won a CD.  Still in the same location as when it was KLGH "The Light 105 dot 3 FM."  I guess that is about as far away from the transmitter that they can legally get.  Ferris was there working alone, as I had expected.  He seemed to be a nice guy.  He said the last two weeks have been the busiest of his life.

When the 105.3 transmitter went on air back in 2000, I didn't have the reception issues when near the 104.9 stick.

Alright, WBIMDJ, for your entertainment, here's another batch.  And to Ferris' credit, I have subsequently heard several from my original list, and he's beaten me to several of the ones that would have been on this list!  No I don't claim to be influencing Ferris; I'm sure most have been floating around in his head for years if not decades.  But hopefully some of these will get an "oh yeah I forgot that one" and he'll load 'em onto his computer.

To Ferris' discredit, he seems to be letting the computer program too much, and has not been putting in any separations or anything.  I understand he's swamped, but hand-programming would be best.  I don't need to hear:

DER KOMMISSAR  After The Fire

I Listened to the Spy yesterday and I was really impressed with the Music.. Stuff I haven't heard since my college radio days at UCO (KBLZ 93, on Edmond cable FM).

I hope Ferris gets Tyson Meade back as a DJ.. I went to High School with that guy (Bartlesville College High - class of '80).

BTW I wonder if Ferris could work out a deal with the Tylers to simulcast Spy on KOJK.. not the best signal, but it would get into Norman.

Those two signals need to be paired up.  Together, maybe with a translator downtown or ne would sort of make a radio station signal-wise.

I think a simulcast on KOJK would work great.  I receive KOJK's stereo broadcast better in much of the metro than I receive KINB's mono broadcast.

On a loosely related note...  Since WWLS-FM moved from 97.9 to 98.1, is there any way that KOJK can move from 97.3 to 97.5 with a small power increase?  Not that I would expect them to get a full 6KW, but even doubling their power to 2KW at the same height would be helpful for such a puny rimshooter.  I expect they are too close to KMOD to be allowed such a move, but the thought had crossed my mind.

Two words: boxed in.  105.3 is lucky to be even able to be squeezed in.
