I figured it was coming. Sad news for "Live" fans, including myself, but not surprising.

Personally, I though Live 100.5 was a very unique radio station.  I liked their musical presentation.  It was a breath of fresh air.

If WAPI is moving to the FM side, then it may hurt WYDE and WERC in the long run and cause one and/or both to ditch their current talk format.

P.S. This station still has a pretty good signal, in my neck of the woods. (100.5 FM)

B.T.W. To the Program Guy at WAPI AM, I like your talk presentation.  You know how to do it right.  I hope your station will have continued success.

I spent so much time trying to figure out which translator would make a good companion to WAPI that I forgot how corporate radio likes to blow up low rated but unique stations.  D'oh.

Considering WYDE's dismal ratings, a talk WAPI-FM isn't going to have much effect on 1260/101.1, as there's not a whole lot available to "damage".   Cheesy

Maybe this will be the final nail in WYDE's coffin!  Time to flash flip to a polka/bluegrass hybrid station:)

Another rock station going to be replace with talk radio? It appears that history is repeating itself once again. I don't have anything else to say about Live 100.5, since that kind of 'new rock' wasn't my cup of tea to begin with.

and thus you have a format better suited for 101.1.  It's alternative, not mainstream, and would reach most every major market north of Montgomery...

I've said it, doesn't mean it'll happen Smiley
