Stephanie Miller - The elephant in the room
« on: August 16, 2010, 05:39:44 PM »

Ok, no one has brought this up. Stephanie Miller,  Buffalo area native, former Sister Sleaze on WCMF and KB jock & doing  a 9- noon syndicated show on WWKB  now days, has come come out of closet. She admitted to being a lesbian today on the air. I  guess it was the worst kept secret in radio biz. I will continue to listen to her show whenever I can thru the static, or on line.  I like her and her show. It is very entertaining. I do have admit, the fantasy of the this recently singled, heterosexual man has been destroyed.  I always thought I'd end up with her, residing in Laguna Beach, living on my NYS pension, and doing my impersonations to amuse her. Stephanie & me and her puppies make three.  Another bitter disappointment in my life.

Speaking of Buffalo area and disappointment, I thought The Sabres or Bills would win a Championship (Stanley or Super Bowl- AFL titles don't quite count) sometime in my lifetime.  At the rate they're going...  Cry

Once on these boards, I expressed my, uh, admiration for Stephanie as a woman, and someone mentioned that I was (figuratively) "barking up the wrong tree".  I guess my "gaydar" is non-functioning.

It doesn't matter to me, of course.  Her sexual preference will obviously come up on a liberal talk show that talks about issues such as gay marriage, but Steph's more a comedienne than an activist.

I'm not sure where the list of openly lesbian talk show hosts goes after Stephanie Miller and Tammy Bruce, tho.

THIS JUST IN!!!!   Shocked  I just heard on Talk Radio that Barney Fwank is gay too!!!!

"Stephanie Miller - the elephant in the room...."

I just have to observe: unfortunate choice of metaphor in naming this thread....with all due respect...  Cheesy

Re: Ellen: I was talking about radio talk show hosts.  Unless Ellen has some satellite radio show I don't know about  Smiley

On the radio side, it's Tammy Bruce and now, Steph, as far as out-lesbian hosts are concerned.  And of course, on opposite sides of the political spectrum.

And Ms. Miller does not at all resemble an elephant.

And I don't believe she espouses what an elephant represents...

Well, as I thought I expressed above, I have great admiration for Ms. Miller.  So I am not going to use a jackass as a metaphor.

Just think TRJM, had she met you years ago, this might have never come to pass.  Such a heavy burden to carry.
