Yuma/El Centro TV coverage
« on: April 04, 2010, 10:47:14 PM »

Did KYMA or KSWT break their local program for this earthquake coverage?  It seems that their website doesn't have a video link or talk about the earthquake as much.  Since Yuma/El Centro Market is adjacent to Mexicali and their tv station is near the Epic Center.

Good question... This is a very small TV market and while they probably broke in with updates, I doubt if they have the resources to update their web presence.

The word you are looking for is "epicenter", not "epic center"

The first thing I did after I heard about the earthquake was check KECY (El Centro)'s website and KYMA. Not much there. As a matter of fact, the articles on their website were from the AP and pics from the LA Times. Their coverage was pretty dissapointing. I don't even think they have a local ABC, maybe KGTV from San Diego?

ABC programming is carried as a secondary subchannel of Fox affiliate KECY.  KECY, KSWT and KYMA all have their studios in Yuma.
