Can anyone explain why 102.7 going to CHR is a good idea again?
What happens to the Morning Edge?
103.7 seems to be back to pure classic rock and JSE is now more 90's than ever. DISCUSS!
Plain and simple, WJSE as it is now, is a station with a signal that doesn't cover enough
people to make in impact in the Atlantic/Cape May ratings.
The Atlantic Broadcasting team came up with a way to make WJSE for all intents and purposes,
an Atlantic City Station, with the antenna in the middle of Atlantic City, not miles away.
Only Atlantic could do this, because they own WTKU and WJSE, and they swapped
the city of license. No one could do that when they weren't commonly owned.
For Atlantic City and local listeners, WJSE will be on equal footing with WMGM, WFPG, WAYV,
WTTH, WPUR, WZBZ, and will have a much better signal than WZXL and WSJO.
So any format will make more money than alternative, which is a dead format.
What is "The Morning Edge" no one cares, it will be gone.
There is still some speculation that the "BIG" format will go on 103.7 and
Classic Rock will switch to 102.7, which will have a good Metro signal.
The majority of the listeners and the majority of the money is made within
10 miles of the tower anyway. Yes there are a few exceptions, I said majority.
