It's a start.  You can't justify the payroll and other associated costs of that station without PBP contracts.   Should make Mario and the Nuttings very happy when a full-blown bidding war breaks out.  (although if it fails and they pull the plug, one wonders how Pitt will feel having their games orphaned on some station with a weird format)

I know Pitt required that 970 AM would carry some womens basketball... is that anywhere in the new contract for the Fan?

THAT would never happen. You do not put women's basketball on the #2 rated station in the market, regardless of demographics.

don't think KD will be #2 rated for long.  it's programing has become so booring it's even hard for me to listen to and I'm a really old guy.  "tradio" on the weekdays can't be far behind.

CBS seems pretty committed to live and local shows on AM and The Fan. I don't see that changing anytime soon.
