The Pirates again
« on: June 12, 2005, 10:54:29 AM »

Well I don't know if there was some seriously good DXing yesterday afternoon or if the Pirates were on full blast but from my drive on the west side all the way to the Bethel Rd area (via 70E-670E-315N) the 100.5 pirate came in as strong as a city grade signal.  The only problem I had was right there at the WBNS tower where everyone drops out.  The 91.5 signal was only strong around the hospital curve area.  I also picked up something on 100.1 but I think that was a DX because in the fuzz I heard what sounded like call letters.  They were playing Hip Hop so I know it wasn't WCLT bleeding over (not that it would on 315 anyway)

That 100.1 signal could have been WXZQ-FM from Piketon? A stretch, but they would be the only likely 100.1 in Ohio to be playing hip-hop of any flavor.
