YES! i agree. smh San Diego has less variety. thank god for iPods, im the own DJ! and when im in  LA i dont even use my ipod.

We have way too many Spanish-languaged stations here.

The Tijuana / San Diego market is 4.9 million, with 1.9 million being in Tijuana, as well as 950,000 Hispanics in San Diego.

So the total population of the metro is nearly 60% Hispanic.

So... define "too many" again in this context.

David is right. Anglos moved in; but Hispanics and American Indians were here first. Are there too many Spanish-language stations (and Spanish is a language, not a format ....)
With the highest English broadcast bumping 6 percent ... probably a yes.

Last weekend, I had lunch with some folks who had 12 plus shares -- and at one time, a solid 60. Impossible? Not then. Perhaps now ....

Let the marketplace decide.
