Hurricane Earl Coverage
« on: September 02, 2010, 11:07:29 AM »

What is the emergency staffing consist of in the OBX area w/Earl approaching? The only hurricane elements I heard last night were the standard "rip & read" mp3s from the local TV meteorologists. Can't pick up any stations down here in MB today - picked up a few last night including "99.1 The Sound".

FYI - Tropical storm warnings remain in effect as of 8:30 p.m. along the eastern seaboard into New Jersey.  Winds are sustained at 110 mph.  This is one of those strange ones - but then they all have their own distinct ways about them.  The air is very warm, very moist, very still right now.  The storm was expected to arrive in Jersey sometime in the middle of the night, but now not expected until later in the morning, which means the storm is still moving slowly.

Stay tuned to your local Radio-Info.com thread for updates. Wink
