I bet it was a cost cutting move. Hatch-et-boy has sports programming experience and it's not like 710 requires a genius to program it.

Sounds like the M's firing of Wakamatsu, upper management throwing middle management under the bus to save their own butts.  I've actually found KIRO-AM more listenable than KJR-AM lately, especially since Groz started.
