NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND
« on: September 12, 2010, 10:09:29 AM »

I would post in the Maine messageboard for example..or Vermont ?

Seems this place is much more lively.

Does anybody have air-checks recorded of various stations past and present ??

I see the desire in similar messageboards BUT nobody ever shows up with anything.

hey..I have air-checks of older Maine..I will post as desired. NOTHING.

Shepaug:  Yes, this board does seem to have more activity.

Would like to know what you have for old Maine air-checks.

I wrote that post wrong.

The last part I was sort of quoting other posts I saw. --I have 'airchecks' but.....(never are posted)

Me ? I had tons of such on cassettes. Maybe literally. I had to move once and it seemed nobody was interested so they all got dumped. This was prior to the Internet or the computer era.

So now I sort of collect some and try to keep them. (mp3,etc.)

The large radio stations somebody seems to have kept recordings. The smaller stations possibly nothing.

They are not worth anything that I know of.

Thanks. Besides the video part of it I think I caught one WKDR ID..one 1490 ? (only listened once for now)

Hey..it's so easy to record your local stations !!!  mpg..just the sound...

//I'm giving a plug for recording air-checks//

Some stations obviously offer 'streaming audio' to anybody but how many ?

Then 'streaming audio' there is no requirement to ID.

Tried to record 1140 Sydney, Nova Scotia via the web before it goes under. On the hour the ID is CBC with a location 'anywhere'. On the air it would ID with it's call letters.
