Pirate on 88.5

I was in Lynn yesterday and I found someone on 88.5 ( I think french ) is this a pirate.  And after listening to WBMT for 3 Days I did not hear a hour ID at all,  who runs the station over there.  sometimes a song runs out and you hear dead air for 3 or 4 min.
