The point of this post is that things are only going to get worse unless the networks
can do a better job of picking their NEW series and deciding when to let go of old ones.
On another thread people were posting what little network TV they actually watch today.
How can network TV survive if cable channels continue to take their audience away?
No one in a world of hundreds of choices (and that's just the "linear" channels) is going to command audiences of some mythical golden era of the past. It's simply a different world. Protestations of the grandpappys and grandpappy-wanna-bes aside, comparisons of shows when there were less than a dozen viable viewing choices at a given time to what we have today are laughable.
