Looks like 107.7 Topeka...
« on: November 01, 2005, 02:24:34 AM »

Will stay in Topeka.

Now that Cumulus has acquired Susquehanna which would give Cumulus 5 FMs already. If they built 107.7, that would mean they would have to spin off a FM. So thus 107.7 stays.

Damn, I was hoping that KC would get a challenger to 103.3.

I'd say for Infinity to swap its Fresno stations to Cumulus, and let Infinity get:

Infinity:
KCJK, KCHZ (which would shift Z95.7 to hot AC from CHR-pop, differentiating from sister KMXV) & KCFX

Cumulus:
KCMO-AM, KCMO-FM, KMJK-FM

Nice thought, but won't happen.  Infinity can only add one FM at most without divesting.

Having spent some time in Topeka, didn't 107.7 end up on the auction block some years ago?  Trying to remember how that played out...
