Matt Scott Bolts WTNH For Radio
« on: December 27, 2010, 11:46:08 AM »

The meteorologist is leaving Channel 8 after eight years, because his contract was not renewed:
http://blogs.courant.com/java/2010/12/weatherman-matt-scott-gone-fro.html

His forecast, however, isn't all that cloudy: He'll be doing news on WPLR's "Chaz & AJ" show starting next week.

Took this from the Hartford Courant article, they said it well;
Across the last 18 months, WTNH has gone from being a respected news organization to a company focused on boobs, tight sweaters and a vindicativeness of classless behavior that to even veterans of the business, is shocking. Long time anchors are being shunted to the sidelines for younger boob enhanced, unskilled ones who are more concerned with their looks and hair than the accuracy of their copy. The new ones aren't involved in their communities, don't give back a nickle's worth of time or money, and never pass a mirror without looking in it first.

So that's where Matt Scott went. I remember he used to work in Jackson, MS and IIRC, went to Richmond, VA. I also remember his stint as a contestant on the Weakest Link.

The Hartford Courant has the gall to print something like that? Are you serious? What about the newscasts on their own sister station, WTIC-TV (FOX)? Jennifer Lahmers is a bimbo who was clearly hired for her looks. They call Rachel Frank a meteorologist. One, she's not licensed by the NWA or AMS and two, she's a features/human interest reporter more often. Outside of Rich Cappola, they could let that whole crew go and I wouldn't miss them.

Without even clicking on the link I provided in the original post, I am willing to bet that it was a user-posted comment, and Ken agrees with the statement so much, he reposted it.

Im not agreeing or disagreeing with it. All I think is that its funny that The Harford Courant said all that about WTNH.

The Courant did not say it though. It was, in fact, a user comment at the end of the article. A former WTNH employee I can only assume.
