About all the friggin' GST posts

I'm going to rant.  Bear with me.

But do some of you people just hop on here and post without reading the new post RIGHT BENEATH YOUR POST?Huh  Look below this post..

Disappointingly (to me, anyhow, because I like him), David lasted about three minutes on WGST.

He clearly had the jitters, then had his headphones croak, then abruptly bolted after no more than three minutes on-air.

Dammit.

And then, in the thread right under it...

Just tuned into the WGST to listen to the return of David Paul. He lasted about 3 minutes before walking off! Now WGST is replaying The Weekend with Mike McConnell.

ITS THE SAME THING!!!   Its a late morning show on a poorly rated news/sports stick.  It seems that the only thing anyone can talk about is who's going to get the show, or why they think this person shouldn't get it (because heaven forbid its voice tracked).  Is there nothing else...nothing at all...in all of this major market to talk about?  What about the book?  Its going on now.  X just got a new positioner, Q might get a wattage increase, Vibe music fest tanked out (if you saw any of the news footage this weekend...funny stuff  NO ONE in the audience).  Music Midtown was "dampened".  How will this effect the stations involved?  Does anyone care, or if it doesn't have the banner of 'GST above it, does it not get mentioned.

I can't be alone on thinking this can I?  I'm all about a free exchange of thoughts and ideas, but damn.

Rant over.

When I logged on here after the David Paul incident, there were no posts on the subject yet.  So I wrote mine, then clicked and sent it, and when I came back to the main page, the other one was already there.  Apparently Firebird and I were typing almost simultaneously.  Hey!  The time stamp says so!  Four minutes apart.

So, no, I didn't read the one under it because it wasn't there when I started typing.

Cry me a handful.
