There were some people from Family Radio handing out pamphlets in Penn Station this weekend saying that May 21 is Judgement Day and to "tune to Family Radio at 94.7 for the details". That's one way to get a few listeners to the lowest rated FM station in NYC. It's the first time I've ever seen a Family Radio "street team".
If the world doesn't end on May 21, I wish they would sell the station on May 22.

The father of Family Stations, Harold Camping, has been talking for years about May 21, 2011, as the date for the Rapture. In 1992, he wrote a book predicting that September 6, 1994 was to be the date -- but recalculated after that didn't come true. This time, he's actually gotten some coverage from major publications. I guess we'll just have to see what happens.
By the way, this year is the 50th anniversary of Camping's nightly radio show, "Open Forum."

If Harold took some acid, would he have a camping trip?

Suppose the "rapture" happened and the purveyors of pay to play preachers and the preachers who pay them were still here?

He should just sell 94.7 and get the cash right now, and make the sale effective May 22. After all, if the world is ending, he won't have a use for a radio station. He could use the cash he gets now to spread his Judgement Day rumors. And if the world doesn't end, we get a brand new radio station!

I don't know what's going to happen on 91.7 WFRH in Kingston which is Family Radio. I don't see it happening, but if Judgment Day comes on May 21st like the Arnold Schwarzenegger of "The Terminator" says "I'll Be Back!"
Anyways, I don't followed the Bible, but I don't read it!

Family Radio is also telling the same BS here in LA - I saw a billboard telling about this so-called "Judgement Day" on May 21st, and then promoting the station they're on, which is 1280 AM. I never knew they were even on the air here!
Does anyone even believe this stunt is happening? I certainly don't.
