Well, it's official: Every single type of radio show you can think of has been giving this "rapture" its due diligence: from a new sports talk radio show in New York City (Ryan & Robin) to a regionally-syndicated country music show based in suburban Atlanta (they sampled both the REM and Skeeter Davis songs) to a sports talk show in San Antonio... this is the story that radio just loves talking about... @Mr. Obral: Good guess, but no... The actual line - which was repeated in both the first and second verses of the REM song - is "listen to yourself churn." I'm afraid you have been eliminated from this "tournament, tournament, tournament."

Update Philippine media ABS-CBN news has shown that Mr Campings Billboards are in the Philippines and located on Metro Manila area Freeways. In the ABS-CBN report Mr Camping's supporters are blocking lanes of metro manila freeways for Mr Camping's Publicity Stunt. Does Mr Camping really own a station in the Philippines?

I think that's from his shortwave signal. Interestingly enough, the license for the shortwave signal was recently renewed in an attempt to cover his tracks. But here's the funny thing: both Family Radio outlets in Maryland are up for FCC renewal at the end of this month. I would be shocked NOT to see a challenge to those renewals pop up after nothing happens tomorrow night.

I can only imagine the First Amendment and religious freedom issues that withholding a license renewal might invoke.

I hope if WFRH in Kingston, NY will pull the plug on Family Radio after May 21st has passed. I guess that 91.7 should flip to "K-Love" at no time. WFRH, another Family Radio affiliate in the Hudson Valley at 91.7 still carries the message. But I'm not a Family Radio listener and I don't really care about Harold Camping either. This is pathetic.

I want to listen to Family Radio's "Open Forum" on Monday night. Wonder if it'll be full of calls from angry people who wasted their life savings. I want to hear how Harold Camping will spin this.

Here's a National Post article that has a pic of a billboard, presumably from the Philippines: http://life.nationalpost.com/2011/05/21/apocalypse-later-surprise-no-sign-of-the-rapture-so-far/The frequency given on the billboard is an AM frequency -- I wonder if Camping owns any stations there or, at least, have affiliates?
