OK, I've changed my mind although I do think a dance format on a big signal would work and I like Chris Shebel. What I am reading more and more leads me to be more inclined to "recreate" the BIG 89 on FM!

Nope.  The Sacred Sales DemosTM won't listen to The Big 95, but they would listen to TalkRadio 94.7.  Moving talk to FM has been successful in several cities.  It's only a matter of time for Chicago.  It would put them well ahead of Tribune, who can't move WGN to FM, and CBS, who only has room to move or simulcast one of their AMs right now, and I'm guessing that the one will more-than-likely be The Score on 105.9.

MusicRadio WLS needs to be on The Big 8-9-0.  Folks that are interested (read:  folks over 50) would be more inclined to tune there.

You don't get into radio, it's born into you.

It would help even more if the FCC ordered all IBOCrap turned off, but that's a subject for another board.

I would have no problem with that.

Meanwhile, WLS-FM is in the top 10 this month and has a bigger cume than the AM station.  Seems to me that it's doing very well indeed.

OK, if the FM ain't broke, what do they do with the talk format on AM?  Let it die once Don & Roma and Rush retire in another 5 years or so?

And which one bills better - AM or FM, or do both bill well?  That's what really counts, isn't it?

5 years is a long time in radio.

I don't know if CFZM 740 is making any money with their music format directed toward baby boomers, but
if WLS were to shoot for something similar, I'd have a reason to set a pushbutton for WLS in the car.
I love this station and I listen to it either at night or online at am740.ca.

Modern tuners have digital readouts and wouldn't people tend to confuse "95" with "95.5"?

Would like to hear one or two of the following
Fred Winston, Scotty Brink, Chuck Buell, Kris Stevens as WLS DJ's and Larry doing weekends.
Even Danny Lake as a mid day jock would be nice. To me the station could be so much more than what it is today. What do you all think?
