CityNews channel to launch in the fall, with CityNews @5 returning to CityTV

I'm not sure Toronto can support a second all-news television channel. Heck, even New York only has one all-news channel.

Back in 2008, this was the story:

"CITY News Toronto would provide a niche news service targeted to Greater Toronto. In contrast, CP24's mandate is and has always been to serve the region of Southern Ontario," the regulator said."
