TIO: Ladies And Gentlemen, Meet The "Save WDUQ" Group

Another thing that amuses me about all this is the seeming assumption that anyone who donated to WDUQ - to any public radio station - agrees with the political leanings of NPR, and so naturally they'll be on board with this.  I believe that many people donated for the jazz alone and kind of ground their teeth that any of it was going to NPR.

Please tell us what the political leanings of NPR are, with documented proof (not "Corey Flintoff sounds like a liberal").

And why would a teabagger like you call yourself "corporateradio sucks?"  Don't you wingnuts love corporations and "free markets?"  I thought it was the Amy Goodmans of the world that complained about the "corporate media."

WTF?  I am about as far from a teabagger as you can get. That is the most random thing I've ever had someone say to me.  Anyway, my beliefs (whatever they may be - I guess I'd better wait for Mark to tell me what they are) have ZERO to do with my comment.

Whether I agree with NPR or whether their leanings can be "documented" is immaterial.  The fact is for many, NPR is looked upon as espousing a liberal agenda.  This can be seen on several area message boards, where there are comments about the imminent format change like "thank God, we need something to balance out the conservative crap on KQV."  (FYI Mark: since you are apparently NOT from Pittsburgh, KQV is another LOCAL radio station.)  To assume that everyone who supports public radio - the stations that actually play music anyway - thinks that way is ridiculous.  Just as it is to assume that someone who points out an organization is looked on by the general populace as liberal is a teabagger.   Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes
