Actually, I wouldn't worry. The signal is so inconsequential that I really doubt Cumulus even cares enough to officially kill the format (again).

If 99x does not get a better station programmer quick, Atlanta will be Alternativeness. 

I doubt it...it's lasted this long, hasn't it?

Commercial operators apparently can not sell Alternative.  IMHO, If this format is going to succeed, college radio is it's only OTA hope.  Who needs a college sponsorship when the record reps will take care of the music director or and DJ's.

College radio, which helped launch the format, won't touch it nowadays because it's gone "corporate."
