New Weather Personality on 12News

Just saw 12 News Saturday with a new weather personality, Mary Yoon.  I believe she came from AccuWeather in Pennsylvania.

Well, at least she came from a reputable place...  How long until she is co-host of the weekend edition of EVB Live?

I watched at 10pm last night and saw Mary Yoon.  I'm guessing...just guessing...that her forecast was taped at Accuweather in Pennsylvania.  Mary was never on the set with Brahm.  The tosses were very generic.  12 News has occasionally done recorded weather on the weekend am shows.  However, AFAIK, this is the first time they've done during an evening newscast.

12 News has just gone WAY downhill recently.  They can put on 90 minutes of fluff every weekday, but they can't hire a freelance met to come in and do the weather.  Was Lee Born not available or something???

So what is going on with Mary Yoon?  She appeared one weekend in late September and was introduced as the newest member of the 12News Weather Team.  I did not see her on TV after that until yesterday morning when she was reporting "LIVE" from Flagstaff in the snow.

Is she or isn't she part of the 12 News Team?  (No bio for her on the website.)

Strange!  A google search seems to indicate that she is still with Accuweather, but the search could be returning old information.  When you watched that weekend back in September, was she on the set with Brahm?  When I watched, she didn't appear on the set and the toss was very generic.

Yes she was on set and they even talked about her moving here from Pennsylvania

Very strange, indeed!  IIRC, I was watching Sunday night at 10pm -- I'm wondering if she had to catch a redeye back to Pennsylvania or something.  The reason I think it was taped is because she skipped the whole Arizona current temperature map and she wasn't in evidence on the set with Brahm (nor was she at the "patio" weather set).

It is also strange to go without a 4th/fill-in weather person since August, particularly since Caribe is also supposed to be co-hosting EVB Live in addition to weather duties.

I wonder if this has anything to do with how poorly EVB Live is doing in the ratings.

Mary was back this morning in person LIVE!  Perhaps she has finally moved to Phoenix -- or perhaps she just flies in when a sub wx person is needed.
