Listened to Colin and Dan this morning. Colin is so much better. He prepares his show and has hundreds of opinions. Dan waits for Paulie to raise his hand to ask a scripted question. Colin is not afraid to slam any team or fan base. Dan interviews McLovin. Colin will host his show from a college campus while Dan waits for Fritzy to interupt him as he is about to get on a roll. Colin loves radio while Dan loves to smile at Seaton. Thank God my station understands the differencwe between Colin and Dan.

I agree. Both shows pretty much suck.

DP relies way too much on his wack pack. Too much smarmy time-wasting stuff on what could be a way better show.

I enjoy Colin more but I will say that his pompousity sometimes gets to me like when he talks about "The guy with a career vs. a guy with a job" and how he's the paragon of a successful man and he's a real estate investor and such. A lot of it reeks of elitism but I do enjoy his show more than DP's. DP relies way too much on his wack pack. Too much smarmy time-wasting stuff on what could be a way better show.

I like DP (at least these days) more than Colin, because DP seems like a regular guy. Is he even an insider when it comes to sports any more? Seems like on a lot of topics, if he doesn't do the round-robin with the producers and interns, I know as much about sports as he does, and I'm not that into it these days. He seems to rely on them too much sometimes, but it's nice to have some other regular voices on the show, who aren't blowing breathlessly through an injury report on the telephone like ESPN does so much.
To me, I agree, Colin is pompous and I'd through in squeaky. Not the kind of guy I'd want to hang around and talk to for more than five minutes, or listen to for that long either. Wouldn't be too long before something didn't go his way, he'd go all cross-eyed on me and it would be on. He probably has more voices and opinions on the show, but that's only because they are ESPN people, and the ESPN staff must be in the thousands. He seems to throw out opinions that are designed to make people talk and call in, but then ESPN doesn't take many calls, so what's the point of that? Are they all rolled over to twitter or facebook or something? I dunno.

I like the Dan Patrick Show over Colin. I listened to Colin from the time his show started until about August last year. I got tired of Colin's show because the way he acts on it. I enjoy Dan Patrick for the guests on his show and the way they interact with each other.

Dan has always bored me on radio. Colin is so much better, but I will agree about him being pompous and even being idiotic at times.

Colin inspires me. He is a great quote. Perfect human being, really. The total opposite of JT the Brick

I like them both, though both have their strength and weaknesses.
Dan Patrick is fashioned more like the Howard Stern show in the aspect that there are a lot more personalities (cast) on the show other than the named host. Patrick knows a lot about sports and is funny in interacting with the Danettes or some of his guests. The bad points of the show is the fratboy humor on the show. Patrick is 55 and the Danettes look like they are in their 30's and 40's. Leave the fawning over super models to your own thoughts or the teen and college males. Patrick is also the biggest name dropper this side of Pat O'Brien. Yes Dan, someone in your position probably met and became friends with many celebrities over the years. This is a sports talk show, not access Hollywood, we don't need to have a drugged out Charlie Sheen or an Adam Sandler pushing his latest lame movie to bomb interviewed on your show.
Colin Cowherd is more like Rush Limbaugh. It's 99.97% Colin Cowherd on the radio show. He doesn't have any co-stars other than input from his producer a rare once in a while. Colin is also very knowledgable about sports. He also tends to be very arrogant and likes to label people (career guy vs. 9 to 5 guy). I also gather that Colin is bored with sports radio sometimes and would like to branch out to political and relationship talk, which he does often on his show.

If The Dan Patrick Show is truly just like The Howard Stern Show, then they'd play this on a regular basis on the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsXX3dSvtAo
